PRINTS

Will my print look exactly like the image on the website and will the colours be accurate?

I work closely with my printers to ensure the colours of the images on my website are as close as possible to the actual artwork.  However, please take into account that viewing an image on a phone, tablet or computer screen may cause a slight distortion of colours depending on individual settings, and the images will appear brighter as they are backlit when viewed on-screen.

Can you order prints in custom sizes?

Yes you can. Note that the available sizes are the most economical out of the paper and canvas widths so sometimes custom sizes can be slightly more expensive. If you’re after a custom sized print, just send me a message via my contact page with the details and I’ll get back to you with a quote!

What’s the difference between paper and canvas prints?

Paper prints are slightly more vibrant than canvas prints, but you need to frame them behind glass (preferably art glass to best preserve your print and minimise reflections).

Canvas prints are remarkably close to seeing the original, especially if they are stretched over a stretcher and finished in a box frame. However they are not quite as vibrant as a paper print.

Both my paper and canvas prints can also be described as fine art prints, giclee prints or archival prints. They are printed with the best quality archival inks on archival stock to produce a never-fading, museum quality print that will last a lifetime.

Can you describe your painting technique?

My paintings appear slightly blurry in real life (and subsequently so do my prints.) This technique is unique to my work and lends it a soft velvety unfocused quality. I feather the edges of the colours and shapes so they merge gently into each other. From a distance they may appear sharp, but up close look very soft.

FRAMING

Can you arrange framing?

You can order your canvas prints FRAMED and READY TO HANG if you are in Australia via my site in the drop down order menus. I can also arrange custom framing and delivery for customers in Australia and Internationally. If you would like to get a price on custom framing and delivery, please click here. Note that I only ship canvas framed prints interstate and internally as glass is too risky to send via courier.

  • If you would like me to arrange framing for your paper prints behind art glass please click here and send me details for a quote.

What style framing do you recommend?

Fine Art Paper Prints :

There are 2 ways to frame your paper prints. You can frame them at the edge of the paper with the white border showing (which is the traditional method) OR  you can cut off the white border and frame ‘edge to edge’ - so the frame itself is right up against the print area. I personally love paper prints framed edge to edge - they look amazing.

Whichever way you go, border or no border, I love finishing your art print in a box frame. Fine Art Paper Prints should be framed behind art glass as it’s non-reflective and helps preserve the luminosity of your print - I highly recommend that you pay the extra for this glass - it looks amazing.

Lastly, I recommend that your Paper prints are set back from the glass with a ‘spacer’ so there is a gap between the paper and the glass. This is the way prints are framed professionally to ensure they are preserved properly as they need air around them (ideally they should not be not directly against the glass).

Fine Art Canvas Prints:

Canvas must first be stretched over a ‘stretcher’. There is additional area on your print to enable this. NOTE: The size quoted in your purchase order for canvas prints is the FINISHED FRAMED size of your artwork - i.e. the size after it is stretched around the frame. Once the canvas print is stretched, I like to finish it by wrapping it in a box frame so it looks super close to the original artwork itself.

What does Limited Edition mean?

'Limited Edition' artworks have a limit of the amount of times they are printed which makes them more special. These artworks are signed and editioned individually (1/30, 2/30, etc).

ORIGINAL ARTWORK & COMMISSIONS

What type of paint do you use?

Super high quality artist acrylics are my go to and I also sometimes experiment with a little mixed media.

Are your original paintings framed?

As a general rule my original artworks are always framed.

The details of the frame itself will be included in the description of the individual piece on my Originals Page.

Can you send artwork internationally?

Yes! My artwork can be sent internationally stretched and framed. Alternatively when working on a commission, I can paint on canvas that is unstretched or ‘loose' so the finished piece can be sent rolled in a tube.

The client can then have their commissioned artwork stretched and framed locally which is a cheaper way to ship internationally. The choice is yours.

How do I order a commission?

Thank you for considering commissioning one of my originals! Head on over to my Commissions Page to find out how!

Shipping & Delivery

Is shipping extra?

Shipping for prints both framed or rolled within Australia is FREE! Shipping overseas can be priced by clicking here for a quote. Pricing will vary according to the size of the print and where it’s heading, so just send me your wish list and I’ll get back to you shortly!

When will my art print arrive?

All prints are made to order - please allow a processing time of up to two weeks for printing and curing, then add on delivery which can vary depending on your location.

If you require something urgently I will do my best to help - please don't hesitate to contact me via my contacts page

Will my prints arrive ready to hang?

No, your artwork comes rolled in a tube unless you order a FRAMED canvas print.  I recommend you hand your rolled prints straight to your framer to avoid damage to your artwork. If you would like to enquire about custom framing please click here.
